Job Description:
The Analytics Architecture team is an established team of data practitioners supporting decision makers across the entire company. We use our data platform to improve outcomes for our colleagues, our leadership, our customers, and everyone in the Pluralsight community. In this role, you will need to use your knowledge of data engineering, database performance, data migration strategies, scripting, and data architecture to function collaboratively within a team environment. We are looking for someone who will apply software engineering standard methodologies to analytics code via the utilization of version control, testing and validation processes, and continuous integration.

What you’ll do:

Performance analysis of existing Tableau Servers and provide best practice recommendations.

Improving processes and operations throughout the data environment via automation
-
Creating and maintaining documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help-related materials as applications are developed

Improving observability in our analytics environment, including uptime, usage, data quality, disaster recovery, and data freshness

Building and maintaining production data pipelines for analytics across the business

Developing tooling and solutions for data practitioners using a deep understanding of their objectives and problems

Creating, implementing, and improving standards for production-worthy data flows
Experience you’ll bring:
-
3+ years overall of taking a multidisciplinary approach to data development: we emphasize picking the right tool for the job
-
3+ years of experience in a Tableau Administration role, preferably non-cloud with any post 2018 tsm version.

3+ years of scripting experience for the purpose of automation. PowerShell would be preferred.
-
1+ year of experience with data warehousing architecture and data modeling standard methodologies
-
1+ year of experience with cloud data technologies (Snowflake & AWS preferred)
-
1+ year of experience developing, operating and maintaining data pipelines utilizing dbt
-
1+ year of experience building CI\CD pipelines that automate IaC and artifact deployment using tools such as Terraform and Github Actions

Effective communication skills with technical team members as well as business partners
-
Ability to tackle problems independently and prioritize work based on the anticipated business value.
Requirements:
-
3 or more years of experience with Tableau Administration, ideally outside of the cloud, using any version of TSM after 2018.

3 or more years of experience writing scripts for automation. It would be better to use PowerShell.

1 or more years of expertise with cloud data technologies, preferably with AWS and Snowflake.
Travel Requirements:
While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work.
