We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to collaborate with our machine learning team, driving the data acquisition and management processes essential for training our cutting-edge models. You will work as part of the Data team alongside a growing multidisciplinary team of talented research scientists and machine learning engineers to improve and scale the efficiency within our models. The position is based in Japan and is a hybrid work model with at least one day (recommended) in the office in Tokyo per week.
- Work with the machine learning team to understand their requirements and propose data sourcing strategies
- Perform downloading and ingestion of the data required for training
- Work with and manage data collection and annotation vendors to execute projects to enrich our data and assess our models. Write guidelines, define quality metrics, and manage the delivery.
- Proficient in Python scripting
- Proficient in Python scripting
- Experience in data ingestion for machine learning projects
- Good teamwork and communication skills based on experience working with a distributed international team with timezone and cultural differences
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with users, solve issues, and provide guidance
- Experience in data annotation vendor management
- Experience in executing data collection and data annotation processes
- Experience in data sourcing, acquisition, and negotiation with vendors
- Attention to detail and the ability to document processes and solutions effectively
