ING Hubs Romania offers 130 services in software development, data management, non-financial risk & compliance, audit, and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide, with the help of over 2000 high-performing engineers, risk, and operations professionals.
We started out in 2015 as ING’s software development hub, then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies. Now we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

The Mission
We deliver one complete and consistent source of truth of Finance and Risk data made available for analysis, accounting, and reporting through the data pipeline. We develop and support data management capabilities to execute and improve data and Data Management within ING. We support "running the bank" and business initiatives with the assets in the tribe.
The Risk Data Tribe Tribe provides correct and harmonized data for its processing and to enable the change from report-driven to data-driven, while also enabling department to manage its end-to-end data flow in a structured and standardized way.

Your day to day
- Support the extensions and lifecycle management of Global Data Products (E.g. Esperanto)
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and SMEs during the analysis phase, translating business requirements into conceptual data models and data definitions
- Define, document, and validate functional and technical source-to-target mappings, ensuring accurate data integration, transformation, and consumption across ING entities
- Promote the adoption of data models, standards, and best practices by supporting, coaching, and training colleagues and stakeholders
- Provide transparent progress updates, proactively managing stakeholder communication and highlighting dependencies, risks, and impediments impacting delivery
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management practices by enhancing principles, standards, guidelines, methodologies, and ways of working
- Partner with data, business, and technology stakeholders to ensure data assets are trusted, traceable, governed, and aligned with analytical, operational, and regulatory needs
- Support the development of reusable data assets and standardized modelling practices that enable scalable analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across multiple Retail countries
What you’ll bring to the team
- Mandatory:
- Good understanding of Data Management principles and/or IT architecture concepts, with the ability to apply them in the design and delivery of data solutions
- Understanding of Entity-Relationship (ER) and Dimensional Data Modelling concepts, with the ability to interpret logical and conceptual data models and clearly explain them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with data modelling methodologies and tools such as PowerDesigner, InfoSphere Data Architect, Erwin, or Idera ER/Studio
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Data Modelling, and Database Design principles, including their application in analytical and reporting environments
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing capabilities across large and complex international organizations
- Proven ability to drive results and deliver business value in fast-paced and challenging environments
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, with the ability to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage both business and technical stakeholders
- Nice to have:
- Knowledge with the Collibra or other Data Catalog tool
- Knowledge of and experience acting within business area of financial institutions and within data management organizations
- Experience as Senior Database Developer, Solution Designer or Data Architect (architecture, planning & roadmap, solution definition, solution follow-up & guidance)
- Education: master or bachelor’s degree (IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics/Business)
