Data Migration Consultant

We are looking for a Data Migration Consultant to join our growing team. Our data team is responsible for migrating clients’ legacy data onto the Intapp DealCloud platform using Extract, Transform and Load processes. They provide expert guidance to clients, execute on the technical aspects of a migration delivery, and are knowledgeable on a wide variety of legacy data structures and best practices to ensure we are delivering a first-class service across the board.

What you will do:

• Migrating legacy client data into Intapp products utilizing python, SQL and other ETL pipeline processes.
• Working as part of a Project team to deliver Data Services to Intapp customers.
• Operating in a client facing role to provide analysis of client needs and data mapping recommendations.
• Conduct data management and data mapping workshops as related to the proposed solution
• Working cross functionally with several teams including the product teams, implementation teams, professional services teams in order to collaborate on improvements in delivering solutions to clients.

What you will need:

• Results-oriented, resourceful and comfortable working under tight deadlines with a demanding set of internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate 3+ years of professional experience working on programmatic, automated ETL pipeline processes or equivalent software development experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and strong desire to learn.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to explain software to non-technical users.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must; this position involves direct customer interaction.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Team player with the ability to coordinate work with all team members.
• Demonstrated experience in leading business process reviews, design reviews, and change management.

 Required Technical Skills

• Software development experience with a strong understanding of logic, functions, performance and delivery
• Extensive database knowledge and ability to manage relational data servers such as:
  • MySQL, Microsoft SQL server, Postgres
  • Legacy formats, e.g. CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet
  • T-SQL (relational, queries, joins, procedures, performance)
• Familiarity with Python and the Pandas library or similar 
• Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP APIs
• Ability to build and execute ETL processes
• An understanding of software development methodologies
• Understanding of a wide range of relational data models
• Excellent hands-on skills with office productivity tools
• Data management and transformational mapping of legacy sources
• Enterprise software such as ERP, PMS, Financial, CRM, HR
• Personal time and project management skills
• Intellectual curiosity and motivated for continual learning
