Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking Data Manager who will be responsible for courier runs for the retrieval of data onboard U.S. Naval ships and transporting the data back to NSWC Corona in Norco, CA. Employees at this level work under close supervision of a designated supervisor and are entry-level specialists who receive training on specific data processing products. The Data Manager performs standardized or prescribed assignments, involving a sequence of related operations. You will be riding & maneuvering around on U.S. Navy ships to obtain critical mission related data, and be expected to travel approximately 30% of the time to provide on-site data management support for work groups, meetings and test event execution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform work that includes the collection, reproduction, handling, distribution and archival of mission data and documentation
- Will interface with a variety of personnel at all levels and across various departments
- Detail-Oriented and able to concentrate for long periods of time
- Communicate effectively to debrief government personnel on status of tasks, and any challenges to completion
- Able to work according to schedule and communicate efficiently and effectively with supervisors and co-workers

● Knowledge of U.S. Navy shipboard protocol

The compensation for this position: $27.00 an hour.
- Will manage the timely receipt of mission related data products
- Demonstrate the ability to receive, verify, and reproduce test event data items per the established plans
- Collect/verify/sort/log/reduce/process/distribute/store physical and electronic data products
- Attend onsite events
- Perform daily Data Transfer Agent (DTA) transfers between recording media and the T&E DataBase
- Provide timely distribution of BMD test event data and information to the Aegis BMD technical community
- Upgrade and maintain BMD data management information systems hardware and software for servers, workstations, networks, and other systems
- Provide meeting coordination by processing visitor clearances, SAAR requests, track visitor forms, meeting room coordination for Aegis BMD events
Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess an active DoD issued Secret Clearance
- Ability to travel domestic up to 4 weeks 1-3 times annually
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, sit, and move around in tight spaces
- Ability to lift 40lbs with ease to transport equipment to and from U.S. Naval vessels
- 1+ years of professional experience in a data management capacity within a data processing work environment
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, to include but not limited to inventory and warehouse management
