Role Summary:
The Reference Data Management vertical is a critical piece of the Business Excellence organization in International Health Delivery Services (IHDS). Under the leadership of the Reference Data Management Senior Manager, this vertical focuses on establishing the right operating processes, controls, standardization and strategic roadmaps pertaining to critical and prioritized reference data in IH’s primary operating systems/platforms. One of the key datasets in scope will be Provider Data Management, focusing on international Provider data within Cigna International Markets.
The Data Integration Developer will design, implement, and maintain processes for large-scale data ingestion and updates across Cigna's core platforms (PRM, Actisure, Diamond, Globalcare). This role ensures data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting business-critical initiatives in International Health Delivery Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Bulk Data Operations
- Develop and execute scripts or use ETL tools for bulk data upload, update, and migration across PRM, Actisure, Diamond, and Globalcare.
- Implement batch processing and error-handling mechanisms for high-volume transactions.
- Optimize performance for large-scale operations using Salesforce Bulk API, Oracle Data Integration, or similar technologies.
Data Validation & Quality
- Perform pre-load validation to ensure data integrity and compliance with IHDS standards.
- Create automated checks for missing or inconsistent data and maintain error logs for troubleshooting.
Integration & Automation
- Design and maintain data pipelines for integrating multiple systems.
- Collaborate with architects and analysts to implement ETL workflows and API-based integrations for real-time and batch processes.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain detailed documentation of processes, templates, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with Cigna data governance policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor bulk jobs and troubleshoot failures.
- Implement dashboards for job status and performance metrics using Power BI or similar tools.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java for scripting bulk operations.
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, Oracle Data Integration).
- Familiarity with Salesforce Workbench, Bulk API, and Cigna platforms (PRM, Actisure, Diamond, Globalcare).
- Knowledge of data formats (CSV, JSON, XML) and transformation techniques.
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bulk data operations within healthcare or insurance systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud integration platforms (OCI, MuleSoft).
- Ability to manage high-volume data loads and optimize performance under tight timelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks to high quality standards.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
