Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Analyst 3 for Enterprise Data Management to support our organization's enterprise-wide data governance and stewardship strategy. This role is crucial for enacting the company's data governance, strategy, and execution, focusing primarily on data governance initiatives. The successful candidate will foster effective collaboration across various organizational levels reviewing Metadata, Taxonomy, effectiveness metrics, Data Quality, and more.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Managing data discovery, profiling, and documentation to support business unit reporting, analytics, and user queries
- Serving as a subject matter expert, articulating data benefits and insights to business stakeholders
- Collaborating with business units and data architecture teams to document enterprise data requirements
- Estimating project efforts and timelines in collaboration with management and project teams
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the data lifecycle for transparency and deadline adherence
- Developing business rules and systems to harmonize and standardize data for organizational consistency
- Leading the creation and execution of test plans for User Acceptance Testing of data-centric projects
- Partnering with engineering to implement data governance and ensure the integrity of data solutions
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Streamline data governance tools and processes to deliver an efficient and intuitive user experience.
- Define and implement validation and monitoring logic to ensure adherence to key data governance metrics. Establish and maintain comprehensive data governance practices, including data stewardship, metadata management, data lineage, data quality assurance, Critical Data Element (CDE) governance, responsible data use, and master data management across multiple domains.
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance and optimization of data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Partner with Domain Owners and Data Stewards to define Data Governance Epic scope, identify new CDEs with clear Business Glossary definitions, establish data quality and reconciliation rules, collaborate with Data Engineering to capture technical lineage, and implement data quality controls and dashboards for all CDEs.
- Prioritize the identification, definition, and governance of Critical Data Elements to focus on governance efforts on the most business-critical assets and to support ethical and responsible use of data in AI initiatives.
- Design and enhance software and web applications, support solutions under development, customize existing applications, and assist with the deployment and release process.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in engineering concepts, methodologies, and practices and apply them effectively within the designated engineering discipline. Research, develop, and refine technical documentation and requirements, including software design artifacts, test plans, evaluation results, technical manuals, and formal reports.

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
Relevant Work Experience
5-7 Years
Skills Required
- 5-7 years relevant work experience in data governance or data management
- Experience with data stewardship, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality assurance
- Experience defining and governing Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and business glossary definitions
- Experience partnering with Data Engineering to capture technical lineage and implement data quality controls
- Experience developing test plans and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for data-centric projects
- Familiarity with data privacy/regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Bachelor's degree or combination of coursework and extensive related professional experience
- Ability to work nights and weekends and maintain a variable schedule as necessary
