Summary
- Creating enhanced digital user experiences for brokers, groups, and members with third parties via API connectivity is the future of Group Benefits. This position will be a key member of a Group Benefits Product team focused on building and integrating API capabilities with Third Party Technology Partners. These APIs will align to industry (LDEx) and/or partner specific standards to support the real-time transmission of data. - The Business Solution Architect is responsible for defining and communicating a shared business process and technical vision for the Agile Release Train to ensure the solution development meets the end to end business purpose. This role supports and acts on behalf of the Product Manager /Solution Manager by understanding the business process or operational impacts across multiple Agile Release Trains You work closely daily with the IT Solution Architect, System Architect within ARTS and Shared Service, business owners, product managers and operational / solution readiness leads to elaborate the solution, validate the assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives and align the delivery across the ARTs to the overall Solution. You partner with Third Parties, Operations and business partners to ensure the solution is ready to be used in production, including any operational readiness, onboarding, and end to end testing.
- In partnership with Product /Solution Management, you identify and respond to business opportunities, define solution capabilities, define compliance requirements and other acceptance criteria. You collaborate with the ARTS and Shared Service suppliers on the solution design to ensure it meets the overall solution objectives. The Business Solution Architect is an active participant in system and solution demos to ensure the capabilities achieve their purpose.
- The Business Solution Architect is a strategic thinker with business and operational knowledge and the ability to interpret this knowledge into solutions and capabilities. Through consultative interactions, you understand the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that the business is trying to accomplish and ensure the solutions and capabilities will achieve those targeted results. Leveraging relationship management and facilitation skills, you bring the right partners to the table from technology, product, business, operations, and other areas, and ensure the timelines for gathering business needs and delivery of the details are met. The Business Solution Architect gains a deep understanding of the end-to-end solution and the horizontal implications across the full experience. You proactively identify and address risks, being empowered to drive the right conversations and the right work.
A Business Solution Architect is:

- Supporting the Solution Managers and IT Solution Architects, as they build out a healthy backlog

Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree
4+ years of experience in gathering, documenting, and communicating business requirements.
4+ years' experience with organizing project teams and work plans for multiple projects - 10 yrs.
Experience estimating and planning project timelines and milestones, and administering task schedules.
Experience using data to improve business processes.
Experience with data and reporting architecture and documentation.
Exceptional, analytical, communication, prioritization, and program management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated experience in supporting multiple scrum/Kanban teams
Previous experience engaging stakeholders, contributors and technical resources to analyze user needs and resource limitations
The wage range for applicants for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
