The Data Operations Manager will oversee a dedicated team responsible for a range of crucial tasks within our organization. This is a critical position for a growing company, and the new hire will work alongside multiple teams in India and the US.
Job Responsibilities

- Lead team to perform energy use/savings calculations and techno commercial evaluation on common building systems and other building efficiency-related measures, including but not limited to:
- Roof Top Units (RTUs)
- Split Units
- Boilers
- Chillers
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Control Strategies
- Building Envelope
- Diagnose HVAC and building system performance issues using interval kW data (asset level and whole building level data).
- Compile and analyze historical ECM performance data to support M&V, sales, and engineering teams.
- Understand data insights report end objectives and drive the effort to align report content accordingly.
- Lead the effort for new ECM identification, algorithm/logic development, and application with proof of concept using electrical meter data.
- Carry out utility data analysis by leveraging relevant weather normalization techniques.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive charting plan for customers to achieve net zero energy goals, detailing actionable steps, milestones, key performance indicators, and the strategic levers that can be utilized to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability
- Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to integrate data insights into product development and operational processes.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop data-driven strategies for customer engagement and retention.
- Encourage the team to design, implement, and own new scalable solutions based on business requirements and corporate goals including but not limited to automated approach for identification and savings estimation of energy conservation measures.
- Perform quality control reviews of all team outputs to ensure good quality output is delivered promptly.
- Conduct as-built review and mis-match resolution prior to initial savings report generation.
- Collaborate and support executive business reviews with the required dataset.
- Translate complicated ideas into simplified language that everyone in the group can understand.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and energy efficiency.
- Identify automation opportunities and lead the team to simplify and document all processes.
- Strive to identify improvements required in the existing process and lead the team members in the implementation of these ideas.

Job Requirements
- Ability to develop algorithms leveraging automation to support calculations.
- Translate complicated ideas into a simplified language that everyone in the group can understand.
- Strive to identify improvements required in the existing process and work with team members to implement the same.
- Should be comfortable handling large quantities of information and keep it organized.
- Should have good experience in creating energy models (ex. Bin Method).
- Experience (~7 with M Tech or ~9 years with B Tech) in Building Energy Efficiency/ Facility Optimization/ Energy Management Systems.
- Relevant certifications like CEM/CMVP/PMP or equivalent would be great.
- Sound technical knowledge and a high degree of familiarity with HVACR and other building systems.
- Should have a good understanding of international HVAC/ Indoor Thermal Comfort/ Energy Efficiency and other relevant standards (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 55).
Education and Experience
- Bachelors in an engineering field (preferably Mechanical/Industrial engineering), but other technical areas of study with strong experience will be considered.
- Master’s in building Energy Efficiency/Energy Management/Heat & Mass Transfer/Data Science will be an added advantage.
- Sound technical knowledge and a high degree of familiarity with HVACR and other building systems.
- Should have a good understanding of international HVAC/ Indoor Thermal Comfort/ Energy Efficiency and other relevant standards (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 55).
