The Impact you will have in this role:
The Data Governance Senior Associate supports DTCC’s enterprise data governance framework by ensuring consistent execution of policies, standards, and procedures across business units. This role focuses on maintaining data quality, lineage documentation, and compliance tracking to meet regulatory and audit requirements. Analysts collaborate with Data Governance Tech Lead, Data Stewards, Governance Leads, and technology teams to promote transparency and enforce governance controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist DG Tech Lead in monitoring governance activities and compliance with established policies
- Coordinate data lineage documentation and ensure accurate mapping of data flows across systems
- Support DG Tech Lead on implementing Data Domain Procedure & DQ Rules, Exceptions, and Reporting Procedure
- Partner with Data Stewards and SMEs to enforce governance standards and resolve data quality issues
- Facilitate adoption of governance tools (Collibra, Ataccama) and ensure proper onboarding of systems and data domains
- Assist Tech Lead on providing business requirements to tech team, and define Jira Epics/stories to maintain the book of work activities, including acceptance criteria and definition of done for stories
- Provide analytics and reporting to support enterprise governance initiatives
Talents Needed for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years in data governance, data management, or related disciplines
- Proficient knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra)
- Proficient knowledge of Jira
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
- Advanced ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and profiling
- Strong experience in building Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations for governance metrics and data quality insights
- Proficient in managing data sets, performing transformations, and optimizing queries within Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment
