Responsibilities:
Enable ingestion, processing, and management of data supporting assessment activities.
Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain scripts for integration and processing structured and unstructured data into usable data formats for long term storage, search, and analysis, leveraging experience and expertise in data exploration, engineering, and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL).
Apply computer programming and data engineering concepts and best practice to develop user interfaces, data extraction and transformation to improve data reliability, quality and utility.
Leverage AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud experience to create custom ingest pipelines to a Big Data platform with consistent performance and scalability
Manage and organize structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to include data parsing, transformation, schema definition, and query/analysis.
Identify trends and inconsistencies that could impact downstream analytics.
Troubleshoot files against an architecture to identify upload process failure points.
Conduct and refine unit tests to increase stability to the entire pipeline.
Develop solutions to coding challenges using tools such as GIT, Anaconda, Spyder, and Microsoft tools.
Assist data scientists, social scientists, cultural advisors, operations research systems analysts (ORSAs), and Irregular Warfare (IW) planners in translating empirical research findings into operational assessments.
Ensure data integrity, traceability, and accessibility.
Enable analytic workflows for assessment teams.
Coordinate with OIE platform integrators to ensure system compatibility.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or big-data pipeline design
Must have a DoD TS/SCI Clearnce
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) within 90 days of hire
Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages for data processing and automation
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational + NoSQL databases
Experience building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines, workflow orchestration, and distributed processing (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
Familiarity with Git and modern development environments
Ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in secure environments
Desired:
Prior experience supporting DoD, IC, or COCOM-level missions Current Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent DoD 8570 certification Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer, or Google Professional Data Engineer
Experience operating in NIPR/SIPR/JWICS environments or handling classified data workflows
Familiarity with DevSecOps, DISA STIGs, RMF, or secure cloud architecture best practices

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, knowledge management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, knowledge management, or enterprise data architecture
- DoD TS/SCI security clearance

- Experience designing and maintaining data management architectures, including ingestion, cataloging, metadata, and dissemination workflows
