Your role:

• Own the entire production environment, including infrastructure, codebase, and automated QA monitoring.
• Lead and mentor data engineers; perform code reviews and ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Define and implement a secure, automated DataOps framework across the data lifecycle (ingestion, processing, validation, access).
• Design and maintain optimal ETL processes and data architectures using AWS-native services.
• Develop and deliver POCs for integrating new data sources, cloud services, or improving pipeline performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering leads across product teams to embed data and BI integration within Nexo’s platform.
• Champion best practices for data governance, security, compliance and cost.

What makes you stand out:

• Proven track record in BI or data engineering with a strong focus on cloud-native solutions.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role, with responsibility for guiding engineering teams and driving strategic technical decisions, with ownership over performance, security, quality assurance, and cost optimization.
• Expertise in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures for large-scale environments.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Proficiency with both relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience operating in dynamic, cross-functional environments with strong collaboration skills.
• Deep understanding of data lifecycle management, from ingestion to visualization.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Redshift, Glue.
