Who We Want

As a Data Engineering Intern at Arrive Logistics, you’re joining a small team with big plans to improve the way our teams in the analytical space work with data. We’re building a modern Data Platform from the ground up and as one of the early team members you’ll have a great opportunity to help define the landscape. You’ll work alongside data and analytics engineers, software engineers, and DevOps specialists within Arrive’s Tech arm to define and deploy new data infrastructure and tooling as well as own the pipelines that ingest and transform data integral to our analytics, BI, and data science initiatives. 

You’ll sit within the Data organization (Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Science) supporting internal technology powering Arrive Logistics in the fast-paced freight industry. What You'll Do

• Build reliable, observable, and scalable data pipelines and API integrations that bring internal and external data into our Data Platform
• Develop and contribute to Data Platform tooling and cloud infrastructure that improve how the Data Engineering team processes and makes data available to consumers
• Perform exploratory data analysis using frameworks such as SQL and Python to investigate data issues and incidents
• Use git as a version control system and participate in code reviews with teammates
• Participate in team Agile Ceremonies to scope new work, provide status updates on in progress work, and demo and review completed work
• Work with teams across the Technology Organization understand data-related use cases and work with Data Engineering leadership to implement solutions

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in related field of study
• Familiarity with SQL and how data can be organized within databases
• Familiarity with Python or similar scripting language
• Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure from a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience working as part of a team with a positive attitude
• Ability to understand and independently acquire new knowledge from internal and external documentation
• Enthusiasm to learn
