The Opportunity:
Booz Allen is seeking a Data Engineer to architect, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and platforms that transform complex data into actionable insights. In this role, you will lead a team of data engineers to design modern, cloud-native solutions integrating structured and unstructured data across secure environments.
You will serve as a technical and strategic leader, responsible for building and maintaining enterprise data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and mission-critical decision-making. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will set engineering standards, ensure data quality, and drive innovation, enabling the organization to leverage data as a secure and strategic asset at scale.

You Have:
Experience with building and maintaining data pipelines
Experience with ETL development using NiFi, Python, or Scala
Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, or Kafka
Knowledge of AWS services, including RDS and Aurora
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or Engineering field
Ability to obtain Security+ Certification within 6 months of hire
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or other Kafka ecosystem tools
Experience with NiFi for data flow automation
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or related orchestration tools
Experience with monitoring tools2, such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Elasticsearch
Experience with real-time data and streaming architectures

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
