WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get responsible to:

  • Co-shape nVent Thermal project services data strategy. Lead the implementation of modern data models/architecture for EMEA-I

  • Implement scalable and reliable pipelines for collection, pre-processing, integration and consolidation of data

  • Oversee EMEA-I data model integration in alignment with global infrastructure

  • Identify and implement improvements to the internal processes by introducing standardization and automating manual tasks

  • Software transformation process - bring and build tools for project services teams. Manage the deployment, maintenance and trainings

  • Manage technical projects focused on building data analytics solutions and enhanced reporting

  • Drive data-driven quality in EMEA-I project services organization. Support company data approach and build data drive culture

YOU HAVE:

  • Advanced technical degree with a bias in computer science, information technology, or other relevant discipline is preferred

  • Previous experience in: 

- Python

- Java, Spring Framework

- Excellent understanding of RESTful API and microservice architecture development principles

- Postgres, AWS, Flyway, ability to write and optimize requests

- Work experience with RabbitMQ message brokers 

- Atlassian JIRA

  • Skills 

- Experience writing and modifying code, adapting existing components and testing modules as standalone units

- Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation.

- Experience engaging with users, technical teams and management to gather requirements, define tasks, develop estimates and meet project deadlines

- Collaboration with other engineers to develop new products and features

- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:

- Ability to analyze third-party code, conduct code review

- Fluent English (level B2 or higher)

  • Will be an advantage:

- Java Script
- Knowledge of Angular Framework
- Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and environments
