Job DescriptionThe Data Migration specialist role supports the Data Management function along with enterprise data transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing data migration tasks, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the ongoing management of enterprise data assets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale data systems, legacy-to-modern platform migrations, and data governance frameworks
•Analyze source and target systems to develop migration strategies
•Develop automated scripts and workflows to support repeatable and auditable migration ETLVR processes using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or similar tools
•Monitor and troubleshoot data migration jobs, resolving issues in a timely manner
•Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data integrity during migrations
•Strong process orientation. Very familiar with core product management lifecycle and engineering systems processes, how they are reflected in core information systems
•Collaborative and works very well with adjacent functions
•Pragmatic and solutions-driven. Practical and grounded
•Ability to understand and communicate complex topics
Qualifications•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
•Strong SQL skills
•Proficiency in ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory)
Experience
•4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data migration and data management
•Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures (e.g., data lakes, lakehouses)
•Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and MDM
•3 years experience with D365, AX09, AX12, BlueStar
•2 years experience with Engineering Data and BOM’s
Skills Required
