As a Data Engineer based in Hyderabad, and you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining end-to-end data flows from transactional source systems to our global analytics environments and data lakes. Operating in an agile, dynamic organizational structure, you will leverage an entrepreneurial, customer-centric mindset to deliver innovative data solutions, ultimately helping Roche make data-driven decisions that advance healthcare worldwide.
The OpportunityDevelop and implement data pipelines to efficiently load data from various transactional sources (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow) into our Snowflake-based reporting environment.
Collaborate closely with Roche Digital Technology (RDT) colleagues to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data jobs, connections, and pipelines.
Partner globally with stakeholders, peers, and cross-functional teams, driving strategic data initiatives and projects across different regions and time zones.
Work agilely alongside Data Scientists, fellow Data Engineers, and business experts to build and optimize robust data solutions.
Drive innovation by participating in exploratory projects to evaluate cutting-edge technologies and establish new data services for the organization.

You hold a Bachelor’s degree (a Master’s is a plus) in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.
You bring at least 2 years of mandatory practical experience developing and managing data flows with data loading tools (such as Talend or AWS Glue), as well as at least 2 years of experience developing and maintaining Java code.
You have professional experience designing and developing ETL processes utilizing modern storage solutions, backed by solid hands-on expertise in SQL and/or dbt, DataOps pipelines, and Git environments.
You possess exceptional communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills, thriving as a collaborative, solution-focused team player who enjoys working with others.
You are fluent in English (additional languages are a plus) and are comfortable working in a role that requires no travel (0% travel estimated).
