The Data Engineer I will join forces with our BI and Data Engineering team to support the development of large complex and exciting implementations. The successful candidate will be a person that can demonstrate critical thinking, ability to collaborate with teams onsite and remote (domestic and international), and have a mindset and eye for continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities:
• Create technical solutions alongside analyzing the current state and constraints.
• Develop and improve support related processes and workflows and look for areas for Improvements.
• Create and define the solution architecture for assigned program / and identifies technical issues and risks and defines mitigation approach.
• Critical thinking and technical acumen and leadership right from the ideation stage of the project.
• Works with a Team of onshore/offshore Developers, Architects, and business Analyst for defining the future state architecture & the interfaces.
• Provides input, guidance, and direction for the development of project level solution architecture.
• Develops the architecture artifacts and Technical Design flows and Documents.
• Ability to lead/operate independently small to large group meetings for reviewing technical architecture, decision making and problem solving.
• Prepares and delivers presentations to business and technology partners and senior management/executives.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology field is preferred or equivalent job related experience.
• Hands on Experience in SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake…).
• Hands on Experience in ETL Tools (Nexla, Python, Talend…).
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office Suites
• Good Interpersonal skills, Self-Starter and Motivated
• Excellent communicator.

Preferred but not required:
• Hands on experience with Snowflake on Azure.
• Experience with ETL tools such Python, Nexla, ADF, and Talend.
• Experience with Jira for project tracking
• Experience in Insurance industry
