Job DescriptionAs Data Engineer, you'll help build the next generation of cloud-based data tools and reporting for Experian's MCE contact center division. Valuable, accurate, information is important to our success, and this impactful role will be an essential part of that.
Delivery pace and meeting our commitments are a primary focus to ensure that we are providing information at the speed of business. As part of this, understanding the business-side logic, environment, and workflows is important. If you are a determined engineer that loves data, creating the latest tools, and moving fast, this position is for you!
Responsibilities include:
- Construct datasets using SQL queries, views, and stored procedures. You'll work with Redshift and PostgreSQL, with support from senior team members.
- Help develop data pipelines for data ingestion and reporting, using AWS services (such as Glue) and Python.
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and help translate them into data solutions.
- Build reusable data tools and participate in CI/CD pipeline development and automated testing.
- Implement security components and requirements through automation up-front as part of all solutions being developed.
- Stay current on industry best practices and latest technologies and translate them into data platform improvements.
- Work with other engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to documentation.
- Use GenAI solutions (such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot) to assist with code development, troubleshooting, and learning new technologies, accelerating productivity and enhancing code quality.
You will work Central Time Zone schedule and report to the Manager of Contact Center Analytics.
QualificationsQualifications
- 1+ years of experience writing SQL queries (Redshift or PostgreSQL)
- Some experience with Python, Java, C#, or similar programming languages
- Experience with AI, such as Microsoft CoPilot and Github CoPilot
- Familiarity with AWS services (Glue, Lambda)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Git version control is helpful
- Experience with BI tools (such as Google Looker) pref.
