Zoom is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our People Analytics team within the IT department. In this role, you will architect and maintain robust data infrastructure that powers analytics for our People Experience (PX) organization. You'll design scalable ETL pipelines, build optimized data models, and ensure data quality across multiple HR systems. Transforming raw people data into reliable, analytics-ready datasets that drive strategic workforce decisions.

We deliver data infrastructure and analytics for Zoom's People Experience organization. Our team collaborates across IT and HR to build reliable, scalable solutions. Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing ETL pipelines that integrate data from multiple HR systems into unified, analytics-ready datasets.

  • Building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure using Airflow for orchestration and dbt for transformation.

  • Developing optimized data models and schemas that support reporting requirements across the People Experience organization.

  • Creating comprehensive data quality monitoring systems that ensure accuracy and reliability of people analytics.

  • Partnering with analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable data solutions.

What we’re looking for

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Bring 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Apply 2+ years of hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration.

  • Apply 2+ years of hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation.

  • Leverage expertise in AWS data services and cloud infrastructure.

  • Bring experience working with Workday or similar HR systems is advantageous.

  • Apply knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
