We are looking for a Data Engineering Intern in Jijona Plant who is technically capable and knows how to get things done. In this role, you won't just write code; you will also figure out what needs to be built, work with the people who need it to make sure you're solving the right problem, and see the work through from start to finish.
You will scope and execute data engineering work end to end gathering requirements, building pipelines, and managing stakeholder expectations ensuring solutions are reliable and aligned with business needs.
Your key to success will be your ability to build on and combine soft skills and business understanding with technical skills and use integrative thinking to convey solutions to drive actions with your key business partners across levels and functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines.
- Implement data quality and validation processes.
- Contribute to data model design.
- Document solutions, patterns, and standards
- Statistical data profiling (distributions, outliers, missingness).
- Help design basic experiments / A/B tests and interpret statistical outcomes.
- Monitor pipeline and model performance (latency, data drift, metric stability).
- Plan, track, and communicate progress on assigned deliverables.

- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) required.
- Python and SQL programming skills required.
- Core statistics (probability basics, sampling, confidence intervals) required.
- Understanding of regression and classification fundamentals required.
- Cloud basics and Databricks experience valued.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools valued.
- Active interest in AI/ML trends and hands-on experimentation (personal projects, courses, or self-study) valued.
- Proficient in Spanish language and able to conduct business in English as well.
- Valid Driver’s license.
