Job Description:
- Provides injury coding using ICD-10, AIS and other required coding
- Meets data reporting requirements as required by regulatory entities.
- Responsible for the integrity of the information abstracted and input into the trauma registry through analysis, updates of data dictionary and registry upgrades
- Provides data requests using applicable policies and procedures.
- Provides technical support, problem solving and system administration for the Trauma/Burn/Rehabilitation databases. System administration includes the process related to the daily data entry, maintenance of files, software installation, provision of routine and custom reports, back up files, performance monitoring and tuning, security, analysis of current and future system needs.
- Analyzes health information data to prepare graphs, slides, and other materials for presentations at trauma meetings on the local, state, and national level.
- Prepares reports, attends presentations and meetings for various hospital, regional, and state trauma meetings.
Education Requirement:
HIM, EMS or health care experience preferred. Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

CAISS or CSTR within 2 years of employment
Skills:
Microsoft Office Suit, basic data analysis, typing.
Experience:
Previous experience in database management preferred, health care background or health information management

Skills Required
