Overview of the Job

As a Data Automation Specialist on our P&G IT team based in Kuala Lumpur, you are empowered to hone your automation experience to manage country level master data management, consolidate multiple sources of data into a single source of truth, and translate insights into action that deliver measurable business results. Gain first-hand experience on translate complex results or algorithms into simple conclusions and insights. These insights will have a meaningful influence on our business strategy and will enable our retail and brand team to win with consumers and deliver sustainable results for our Company.

- Detail-oriented and analytical in nature, with strong problem-solving skills. Able to sieve through data to find opportunities, recognize problems and draw logical conclusions
- Able to work independently and as an effective team member to gather requirements and translate into solutions.
Responsibilities
Master Data Management & Transformation
- Expert in data transformation, cleaning, automation via Excel PowerQuery, VBA or other similar tools
- Go-to person for country master data maintenance, data accuracy & integrity through the effective use of Master Data Management (MDM) principles
IT Operations & Governance
- Manage country-level IT operations, ensuring system reliability, compliance, and service excellence
- Oversee incidents, changes, and IT service processes aligned with ITIL best practices
- Handle vendor and internal stakeholder management, ensuring clear communication and SLA performance
Process Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify manual processes and convert them into automated workflows using tools such as Python, Power Automate, KNIME, Excel VBA or other similar tools
- Lead project initiatives to modernize workflows, improve internal work efficiency to streamline work productivity
- Develop and maintain SOPs to standardize and innovate daily BAU operations
Job Qualifications
- At least 3 years in IT Operations & Automation or similar roles
- Expert in Data Manipulation/Transformation using Excel, PowerBI or other similar tools
- Good understanding of data automation, data structure, and data governance concepts
- Hands-on experience in process automation and workflow design
- ITIL or related certification is a plus
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite for effective teamwork and communications
