The Role
We are looking for Data Architecture & Governance Consultants to join our Banking & Payments practice in Warsaw. You will work with clients to design and govern scalable data solutions across complex financial services environments. Combining data architecture, governance and cloud expertise, you will help establish trusted data models, clear standards and effective controls while enabling high-performance solutions using GCP and BigQuery.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Data Stewards, Domain Experts, Business Analysts and engineering teams to translate business needs into well-defined, secure and scalable data solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design data models for data warehouses, integrated data layers and analytical layers, incorporating BigQuery modelling best practices.
- Integrate data from multiple source systems and help establish consistent business definitions, data semantics and documentation standards.
- Support data governance activities covering Data Owner and Data Steward responsibilities, metadata, data dictionaries, lineage and data quality.
- Design scalable, secure and high-performance GCP and BigQuery solutions, considering query optimisation, partitioning, clustering, data processing and cost management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Data Engineers and implementation teams to translate requirements into practical data solutions and support successful delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Knowledge of data modelling for data warehouses, integrated data layers, and analytical layers.
- Experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
- Knowledge of data modelling best practices in BigQuery.
- Strong knowledge of GCP, BigQuery, and Google Cloud data services.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, Data Stewards, and Domain Experts.
- Experience defining data modelling and data documentation standards.
- Experience in data governance within a large organization, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Understanding of Data Owner and Data Steward roles, data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage.
- Experience aligning business definitions and data semantics across stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data quality principles and practices.
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate business needs into data requirements.
- Experience designing high-performance, scalable, and secure data solutions.
- Knowledge of cost management, query optimization, partitioning, clustering, and data processing techniques.
- Experience collaborating with Data Engineers and implementation teams.
- Knowledge of security, IAM, encryption, auditing, and access control within GCP environments.
- Fluency in Polish & English.
