The Data Architect is for the development and implementation of a robust data architecture and state of the art supporting services for greenfield multi-tenant platform. This role is responsible for working closely with engineers and teams on engineering choices and how they align the data architecture to the business vision. The incumbent will design, develop and foster technology innovation.

  • Develop specifications for new products/services, applications, and service offerings.
  • Provide technical oversight and data architecture/engineering solutions to large, strategic, complex multi-tenant system and application development projects, usually at the product level.
  • Use professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters.


The role will be recognized as a thought leader and advance the craft of architecture and engineering within our organization.

  • Lead the design and development of the platform's data architecture, including data models, databases, data warehouses, and data integration solutions, to support our platform for healthcare administration.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Apply your deep knowledge of healthcare data standards, regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), and industry best practices to ensure that our data solutions meet regulatory compliance requirements and support healthcare administration workflows effectively.
  • Architect data management strategies and best practices for a complex environment, including multi-tenancy considerations, data partitioning, data security, and data governance.
  • Design and implement data integration solutions to enable seamless interoperability between our platform and external systems, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, billing systems, and third-party healthcare applications.
  • Identify opportunities for performance optimization and scalability enhancements in our data architecture, implementing solutions to improve data processing speed, query performance, and overall system efficiency.
  • Define and implement data security measures, encryption standards, access controls, and data masking techniques to protect sensitive healthcare information and ensure patient privacy.
  • Establish data governance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data quality, data consistency, and data lineage across the organization's data assets.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and data governance guidelines, and promote best practices in data management and data architecture.
  • Be able to provide guidance to junior data architects and data engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence within the data architecture team.



  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Architect, with a strong focus on designing and implementing data solutions in the healthcare administration industry.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • DP-203 - Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, DP-300 - Database Administration AZ-301 - Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies
  • Proven experience working with multi-tenant platforms and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, data warehousing, and data integration technologies.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong understanding of data security principles, encryption standards, and compliance requirements in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design scalable and robust data solutions to meet business needs.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive consensus on technical solutions.
