We are looking for an experienced German-speaking Big Data Architect colleague in Hungary who will create an amazing experience for our customers as they build and maintain solutions in the Google Cloud.

We are looking for you if you
- are a data architect with at least 6 years of hands-on coding experience (Java/Python and SQL).
- are comfortable working with modern public cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) across data warehousing, pipeline orchestration, streaming/batch processing, and BI/transformation tools (e.g., BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Looker/Tableau).
- have great communication skills in English and German (mandatory for client-facing tasks).
- have experience working at an IT service or consultancy company, or have other external client-facing experience.
- have hands-on, up-to-date knowledge in using agentic AI tools to build software solutions.
- want to use your technical leadership skills to guide both our engineers and our clients’ engineers on their cloud journey.
- thrive in a collaborative environment, where you can take on a lead role to guide the data team in agile practices.
- are okay with onsite presence with the customer in Germany (approx. 3 days/month).
Your diverse role will include
- leading workshops with business users to understand the core requirements, what reports they need and why, and what the customers use the data for.
- define the data platform roadmap with the client and collaborate with the team to build a backlog.
- demonstrate the built solutions to the clients.
- architecting and creating data pipelines, data platforms, and data warehouses on GCP.
- being a trusted technical consultant and trainer for our clients’ tech teams.
- being part of the clients’ engineering team and implementing relevant new practices.
- communicating efficiently with a conflict resolution and stakeholder management focus while representing a holistic approach to project delivery.

Skills Required
- 6+ years hands-on coding experience with Java, Python and SQL
- Fluent German and English for client-facing communication
- Experience with public cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) across data warehousing, pipeline orchestration, streaming/batch processing and BI/transformation
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Looker or Tableau
- Client-facing experience at an IT service or consultancy company (or equivalent external client engagement)
- Hands-on, up-to-date knowledge of agentic AI tools to build software solutions
- Willingness/ability to be onsite with the customer in Germany approximately 3 days per month
- Technical leadership and mentorship experience guiding engineering teams and clients
