Overview of Role
66degrees is seeking a Senior contractor to engage on a 3+ month data migration remote assignment with potential to extend. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. MUST : ***Need candidate to join by last week of October***
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with data engineering, cloud architecture, or working with data infrastructure.
- Database migration experience, AWS to GCP is required; Experience with migrating from AWS to CloudSQL and/or AWS to AlloyDB
- Google Cloud Platform experience is required (Multi-Cloud implementation experience would be beneficial)
- Experience with building, monitoring and logging systems as part of data platforms is required.
- Documenting a solution inclusive of architectures, pricing, and other technology design considerations.
- Proficiency in Python programming language and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling and schema design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Postgres is desirable
- Background in professional services/consulting.
