About the Role
We are looking for a Data Applications Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to build and integrate scalable data applications and pipelines. You will focus on developing backend services in Java or Scala, deploying them on Kubernetes, and ensuring smooth data flow across systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop data-centric applications and APIs using Java or Scala.
- Build, deploy, and maintain data pipelines and microservices in Kubernetes environments.
- Integrate various internal and external data sources to enable seamless data workflows.
- Collaborate with data engineering and DevOps teams to ensure reliable and scalable solutions.
- Ensure quality and observability for the data applications.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of backend engineering experience (Java or Scala preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
- Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AWS services (EKS, S3, Lambda, etc.).
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Mongodb or SQL based databases.
- Full stack development capabilities.
