Data Annotator

As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will use a variety of internal specialised software programs to mark objects, activities, events, or other items of interest in images, video, text or audio files. This position is critical to the success of our customers, as well annotated data is the key ingredient in machine learning algorithms. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail. Duties also require providing feedback for improvements on tools and processes, and on occasion, helping our field teams with questions.

Role

• Annotate and label image, video, text and audio data via computer using various internal software programs.

• Tackle incoming tasks within a short timeframe.

• Attach metadata (comments, markups, etc.) to image, video, audio and text data in accordance with established procedures and precise instructions.

• Provide feedback to customers if data is noisy or instructions are unclear.

• Provide constructive feedback to our engineers on tooling and processes for more efficient labelling, and to improve data quality.

• Evaluate metrics to help improve our productivity.

• Collaborate with other annotation specialists and help out with questions.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Any degree(Bachelors or diploma)

• Responsible, self-motivated to work independently, even with minimal supervision (training is provided) Comfortable with computers and internet

• Meticulous and detail oriented

• Able to maintain sharp focus, even with repetitive tasks.

• Willing to support several projects at once and accept reprioritisation as necessary

• Some experience in similar activities would be an added advantage, e.g. Data entry

• Eager to learn

• Team player
