The Position
Position: Data and Analytics Specialist
As a member of Roche Informatics' Data Advisory & Insights team, the Data and Analytics Specialist plays a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders across different functions. In this role, you will work in an agile product team, understanding the analytical needs of the domain and utilizing your expertise in data and analytics to fulfill those needs. With a proven track record in understanding the true requirements of business stakeholders, you will collaborate as a team player in delivering data products. Additionally, you are comfortable with ambiguity, able to work independently with minimal oversight.
Context:
We are looking for a Data Science Specialist with expertise- in GenAI, LMM and Snowflake AI DATA CLOUD to lead our data science efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management,Gen AI, LMM and RAG, machine learning, and data engineering, along with hands-on experience in managing data projects using Snowflake. Nice to have working expricnice with Dataiku.
Key Responsibilities

Lead Data Science Projects:

Design, development, and implementation of GenAI, data science projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and provide data-driven solutions.

Dataiku Platform Management:

Utilize Dataiku for data preparation, exploration, and model deployment.

Manage Dataiku workflows, ensure best practices, and optimize the use of the platform.

Snowflake Expertise:

Design and implement data storage solutions using Snowflake.

Optimize Snowflake performance and ensure efficient data processing.

Team Leadership:.

Mentor and guide a team of data scientists and analysts.

Stakeholder Communication:

Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Education:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, data science, machine learning, or a related field.

Proven experience in leading data science teams and projects

Technical Skills:
-
Machine Learning: Supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, GANs).

NLP: Text preprocessing, transformers (GPT, BERT), sequence modeling.

Strong experience with Snowflake, including data warehousing and SQL.

Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R.

Working experience with Dataiku is a big plus.
