🌍 About UsNPX partners with nuclear utilities and new reactor projects to unlock performance through innovation. We combine decades of nuclear operation expertise with AI, digital tools, and lean processes, to help plants run safer, smarter, and more cost-effectively. Our Digital Transformation team scales this expertise through both NPX-developed and industry-leading products, delivering solutions to clients across Canada, the U.S., and globally.
🚀 The RoleWe’re looking for a Data Analytics Lead who can bridge the gap between technical data work and client-facing consulting. In this role, you’ll be embedded with clients, understanding their problems from the inside, shaping analytics strategies, and leading a team to deliver on them.
You’ll own the analytics function: the processes, tools, architecture, people, and the client relationships. You should be equally comfortable building a Power BI dashboard, designing a data pipeline in Azure Data Factory, and sitting across from a VP explaining what their data is telling them.
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics delivery, people leadership, and client advisory. If you want to shape how a growing company uses data to drive outcomes for the nuclear industry, this is the role.
Travel Requirement: Travel to client site approximately 4-6 times per month, as required by project needs.
Salary Range: $130-150k (Exact compensation may vary)
Number of Openings: 1
🎯 What You’ll DriveLead and grow a team of data analysts, setting standards for quality, delivery, and professional development.
Work directly with clients to understand their business problems, translate them into analytics solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Design and build analytics solutions using Power BI, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and the broader Azure data ecosystem.
Own the data architecture and infrastructure decisions for analytics engagements, from ingestion and transformation to visualization and reporting.
Advise clients on their digital transformation journey as it relates to data: what to modernize, what to build, and what to leave alone.
Establish repeatable frameworks and best practices that the team can scale across engagements.
Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand the scope of analytics work.
Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure analytics infrastructure integrates cleanly with NPX’s broader digital solutions.
Technical Depth: You’ve built and deployed Power BI reports at scale - data modeling, DAX, row-level security, deployment pipelines. You understand Databricks (notebooks, Spark, Delta Lake), Azure Data Factory orchestration, and how the Azure data ecosystem fits together (ADLS, Synapse, Purview, Unity Catalog).
Architecture & Infrastructure: You understand the infrastructure and architectural patterns behind enterprise data platforms - lakehouse design, medallion layers, data mesh concepts - and can make practical decisions about what to build for a given client’s needs and maturity.
People Leadership: You’ve led, mentored, and grown a team of analysts or data professionals. You build culture around quality, ownership, and continuous improvement, not just task assignment.
Consulting Mindset: You can walk into a client environment, quickly understand the business context, and identify where analytics can create real value. You translate ambiguous problems into structured approaches and communicate clearly with executives, SMEs, and technical teams alike.
Results & Impact: You deliver analytics solutions that drive measurable client outcomes, not just dashboards that look good in a demo.
Initiative & Ownership: You take engagements from scoping through delivery and own outcomes end-to-end. You don’t wait for requirements to be handed to you.
To do great work, you need to be well in mind, body, and soul. At NPX, we design our environment around the whole person, not just the job they do.
🧠 Mind: Tools and support for mental wellness, professional growth, and financial security.
🧘♀️ Body: Health coverage, a spending account, and the freedom to rest and recharge.
🌀 Soul: Meaningful work, alignment with your values, and time to refresh with time off.
💰👀 Financial wellbeing? Covered. That means competitive pay and recognition for the impact you make.
NPX provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.
💬 Pssst. Just a heads up that we use AI to help in the filtering of candidates based on job-specific criteria. Humans decide who to move forward, and this way we're able to spend more of our time supporting our candidates directly.
