Ruan is now hiring a Data Analytics Intern for Summer 2027.
This is a full-time position that will work a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote.
The Data Analytics Intern will assist in gathering data from various sources and ensure its accuracy and completeness utilizing statistical methods and tools to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-informed decision-making processes.

- Duties may include assisting in the preparation of reports and presentation material 25%
- Provide day-to-day business activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs 25%
- Fully support financial business case analysis 25%
- Participate in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects, and provide technical support in managing the business unit's financial performance. 20%
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. 5%

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree: Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Tools and Systems: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Skills Required
- Some college coursework, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Human Resources, or Information Technology
- Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Familiarity with database management systems
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
