ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are actively seeking a skilled Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll be collaborating closely with analysts, data engineers, product managers, marketers, and financial analysts to deeply understand their problems and goals, and then design and prioritize solutions to help achieve those goals. If you have an interest in leading the strategy and execution of our analytics roadmap with the goal of scaling our data products to be more accessible, self-serve, reliable, and digestible for all employees across the company, this role will be a great opportunity to make a big impact on Splash!
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT SPLASH:
- Write and ship a lot of code for reliable data models and pipelines in partnership with Data Engineering adhering to software lifecycle, including CI/CD
- Mostly work within dbt (SQL, Jinja) and Snowflake
- Build visualizations using BI tools such as Sigma. Strong hands-on experience with reporting is a major plus
- Work directly with analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements, nail down logic, and debug and qualify produced data sets to ensure they meet the underlying business needs
- Design and develop high-performance data pipelines mostly in Fivetran
- Monitor data systems to ensure quality and availability while seeking to drive down costs
- Contribute to the team processes and community
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPLASH:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology especially with data modeling, data warehousing in cloud, SQL, Snowflake, and data visualization tools
- Strong 5+ years’ experience working on BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma, Sisense, etc. Strong hands-on experience with reporting is a major plus
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD process is a must-have
- Proven experience working on data and data modeling (very strong in SQL, and visualization skills) and experience working with data modeling tools like DBT
- Experience working with financial and/or marketing data is a huge plus
- Understanding of data transformation using a programming language like Python, Scala, etc. while not necessary it is nice to have

We got tired of seeing our friends and family struggle under the crushing weight of debt. So in 2013, we did something about it.
We built a marketplace filled with banks and credit unions looking to help people refinance their student loans. We used that network to bring people great rates. And we did it all from a tiny office in Cleveland, OH.
In other words: we started Splash Financial.
Since then, we’ve become a national leader in student loan refinancing. We’ve opened over 100,000 accounts, and handled over $6 billion in refinancing requests. Plus, we’ve successfully launched personal loans, with the same commitment of service to our customers.
