Data Analytics & AI Solutions Team Lead - Remote

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Data Team Lead (AI) you will be responsible for leading one or more of the Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning teams, being the direct report for the professionals within your team. In addition, you will lead one or more of our workstream delivery squads, working with a mix of data professionals and coordinating directly with stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data products.
How will you deliver value to UL?

• Lead a team of data scientists, data engineers, and/or machine learning engineers;
• Helping guide their careers and bringing the best out of them, using your excellent supervision and mentorship abilities;
• Lead one or more workstream squads coordinating a mix of data professionals focused on delivering value to a specific area of the business where your strong organizational and leadership skills will be vital. You will have full accountability for guiding the squad(s) to success, including:
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to gather and analyze workstream requirements;
  • Managing the planning of sprints, tracking of work, and successful execution of projects;
  • Ensuring that project deliverable timelines are communicated and met;
  • Analyzing data and AI-related software and hardware system needs options, risks, costs, and impact on enterprise business processes and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Broad experience across Data and AI Solutions preferably with in-depth experience in one of Data Science, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning Engineering
• Ability to lead and plan large-scale software development, data design, transformation, and management.
• Strong skills in business case analysis (problem identification, quantitative modeling and problem-solving)
• Capability to foster a healthy, stimulating work environment that frequently harnesses teamwork.
• Ability to articulate an idea with strong communication and presentation skills in English.
• Clear understanding of Agile principles, processes, and practices; and ability to apply them in leading a team in an Agile environment for applied research.
