We’re hiring a Data Analyst dedicated to optimizing our internal matching logic that connects our clients with the right freelancers
You’ll be part of Malt’s data team, an international team of about 30 people, with various profiles, including 6 data analysts, analytics engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and economists...
You would be reporting to Gautier Chenard, Director of Analytics, and the data team is led by Claire Lebarz, Chief Technology Officer, and former Head of Data @ Airbnb.
Key Responsibilities ✨
- Partner cross-functionally with product and business teams across the marketplace to deeply understand product performance through strategic analytics, structured deep-dives, and actionable recommendations.
- Build and deploy robust data products, advanced dashboards, and A/B testing frameworks to directly measure the online performance of our new matching algorithms.
- Evaluate the concrete impact of major new features and releases, with a specific focus on optimizing conversion and opportunity creation rates around our AI search tools.
- Empower stakeholders across Malt to quickly answer their own data questions by designing high-quality, ground-truth datasets, foundational metrics, and clear self-service reporting layers.
- Develop internal tools and training that foster autonomy for product managers and engineering squads when launching new features.
- Spread the data and AI culture within Malt, modeling our databases and semantic layer alongside our analytics engineers.
- Uncover nuanced insights regarding how freelancers and clients interact with each other and navigate our product ecosystem
About you 🧑🚀
- Education: High level education, ideally in a quantitative or engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, navigating complex data layers within fast-paced product environments.
- Business & Product Acumen: Tactical capability to deeply understand user pain points, connecting operational data patterns straight to broader product performance metrics.
- Full-stack data analyst: You write SQL perfectly, you know how to work with ETLs, you’ve been using data modelization tools such as dbt, you can write simple Python scripts… You are also very comfortable in using data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Metabase, Tableau…)
- AI & Automation Mindset: Passionate about scaling yourself by using AI and automation tools to build smart agents and highly efficient data workflows.
- Languages: fluent in English.
