The Data Analyst is responsible for the production of reports and special analysis for our YouGov Shopper business, according to standard procedures of the company and deadlines. Reporting to our Head of Service Centre Reporting based in Romania, the Data Analyst is an independently minded, proactive individual who contributes to the development of the team by improving the process and providing support to assistant, junior colleagues.
You Will:
- Prepare and analyse FMCG monthly trends when database is confirmed as closed from Operations. Inform the colleagues with the monthly trends overview.
- Prepares and update the lines of reports according to Articles, Shops and Socio-Demographic Profiles and continuously communicates about the updates with the Operations team.
- Constantly communicate with Client Service team to set up the reports according to clients’ need.
- Create reports, analysis and presentation, and contributes to the improvements, according to the company standards. Also uses the company standard layout or adapt it according to clients’ need, keeping the standards.
- Be responsible for checking the data accuracy and correlations of all provided deliverables.
- Deliver on time, according with the specifications and without errors.
- Offer support for Client Service team with reports for: quotations, profile newsletters and PR activities (conferences) and also for internal use for other company teams.
- Prepare comparisons between consumer panel data and profile data from other source (media, client’s reports, etc).
- Update and sends to the wider YouGov group the standard regional files with consumer panel trends (e.g. Key Facts, Consumer Index, Brand Growth, etc).
- Keeps the monthly evidence of the reports and analysis which must be reported and also the agreed timings.
- Attend the project meetings and offers feedback in terms of structure, contents and details should be agreed.
- Communicate to your manager about any problem or change which appears in activity.
- Proactively identifiy and escalate potential issues. Collaborates with the other parties for identifying and solving efficiently the issues that may occur.
- Offer support to the other people of the team/ organization when needed.
- Maintain client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Comply with company’s quality and confidentiality standards.
- Actively participate in all trainings organized by the company.
- Inform the direct manager about any system malfunction that can alter the work activity.
- Focus on improving the quality management system.
- Executes any task given by the direct manager in accordance with professional training and experience.
You Have:
- University education – ideally with background in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or similar.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Advanced user of MS Office (advanced Excel - VBA).
- Familiarisation of other data platforms (SPSS, SQL, Python, PBI etc) will be considered as strong asset.
- Fluent English language.
- Attention to details, logical thinking and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Show initiative and willingness to continually learn.
