The Role

About this role:

Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.

This role is part of the Marketing Analytics & Operations team in GSSO, we are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Marketing Analytics Specialist to join our growing analytics team who can collaborate and communicate well with Marketing stakeholders. The person will be responsible for developing key reports & insights to support business decision making and help formulate strategy to position Corporate Marketing as an indispensable force fueling Gartner’s revenue growth.    

What you will do:

  • Consult with marketing stakeholders to formulate and frame the business questions in the context of business objectives, gather and vet the relevant data, analyze the trends and patterns, construct story lines that will support impactful / implementable insights to the business stakeholders.

  • Evolve metrics and support reporting automation and visualization across all Corporate Marketing area.

  • Perform ad-hoc diagnostic analysis to identify operational challenges and promote best practices throughout the organization.

  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns based on performance indicators.

  • Analyze the effectiveness and measure the performance of lead flow across different sales regions.

  • Provide consistent, timely, recurring reporting and analysis.

  • Perform ad-hoc diagnostic analysis to identify operational challenges and promote best practices throughout the organization.

  • Support analysis of marketing programs including ROI calculations and identification of success factors which can be apply for continuous improvements.

  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across marketing and IT.

  • Provide consistent, timely, recurring reporting and analysis.

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales/marketing data analytics with a graduate degree

  • Demonstrable strong experience with SQL databases a must.

  • Demonstrable strong experience with Power BI a must.

  • Experience with Python will be a plus.

  • Strong verbal & written communication

  • A successful history of processing and extracting business insights from large, disconnected data sets

  • Experience applying various analytic techniques (segmentation, regression, forecasting, etc.)

  • Strong ownership, project management and organizational skills with focus on results / timelines

  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
