Position Overview
SteerBridge Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support mission-critical operations in a secure, controlled data environment. This role focuses on advanced data analysis, automation, and reporting to drive informed decision-making at leadership levels.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze large, relational datasets to identify trends, performance gaps, shortages, degraders, and operational inefficiencies.
Translate complex data into actionable insights that support leadership and operational decision-making.
Write, maintain, and optimize production-ready SQL using Amazon Redshift and Oracle SQL Developer, leveraging advanced techniques such as CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and aggregations.
Troubleshoot data discrepancies across multiple sources and implement validation checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.
Support and maintain ETL pipelines and automated data workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
Develop automated processes using scheduling and orchestration tools such as cron, AWS services, Airflow, or equivalent technologies.
Develop scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate data pulls, file processing, pipeline validation, and other recurring processes.
Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards that provide accurate, consistent, and timely information to stakeholders.
Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements while ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
Required Qualifications
Eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship is required for this position under applicable federal contract requirements. Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or a related field.
Strong experience working with large, relational datasets, including in sensitive or controlled data environments.
Advanced SQL proficiency, preferably with Amazon Redshift and Oracle, including experience with joins, aggregations, and query optimization.
Experience troubleshooting data discrepancies, validating data, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Familiarity with ETL processes, data pipelines, and automated data workflows.
Experience developing and maintaining recurring reports and dashboards, with strong attention to detail and data quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–6 years of post-college professional experience.
- Experience with predictive analytics or modeling.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with automation tools and scheduling frameworks.
- Experience supporting executive-level decision-making.
