Requires substantial Python, pytest, API, software design, and mentoring experience, along with U.S. citizenship and Public Trust eligibility.

Supports data pipeline development and maintenance for a VA disability claims program. Responsibilities include preparing and cleansing healthcare data, troubleshooting ETL/ELT pipelines, performing data quality checks, documenting workflows, participating in code reviews, and learning claims data systems under senior engineer mentorship.

Designs, develops, and optimizes scalable data models, cloud-native platforms, and batch and real-time pipelines for an AI/ML disability claims program. Responsibilities include data quality, governance, security, database optimization, ETL automation, observability, ML pipeline enablement, and cloud migration. Provides executive leadership for Medical Disability Claims operations and technology programs supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Oversees delivery, budgets, staffing, risks, quality, performance metrics, stakeholder relationships, modernization, systems integration, automation, data initiatives, governance, and organizational change.
