About the role
12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Melbourne Based | Hybrid Office
Join AGL's Electrification & Innovation (E&I) team and help accelerate Australia's transition to a cleaner energy future. E&I develops and scales innovative products that empower customers to adopt emerging technologies and unlock more value from their energy, including market-leading offerings such as EV Night Saver and Battery Rewards.
As a Data Analyst, you'll be part of a lean, high-performing Data team that partners across Product, Commercial, Operations and Technology to deliver insights that drive decision-making and improve customer outcomes. Reporting to the Data Product Manager, you'll work across a broad range of initiatives, from analysing customer behaviour and product performance to developing reporting and supporting data capability uplift across the team.
What you’ll be doing:
Turn complex data into actionable insights that drive growth, improve operational performance, and enable data-informed decision making across E&I.
Uncover customer and product opportunities through deep analysis, identifying ways to maximise value for both customers and AGL.
Build impactful dashboards and data solutions that bring program performance to life and make insights accessible to stakeholders.
Partner across Product, Commercial and Operations teams to solve business challenges, deliver analytics projects, and influence key decisions.
Present insights to senior stakeholders to influence business outcomes and decision making.
About you:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
Advanced SQL and intermediate Python skills, with experience extracting, transforming and analysing large datasets.
Experience building dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to communicate performance and influence decision-making.
Exposure to modern data platforms and data engineering practices, including Azure solutions.
Collaborative and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
