Position Overview

Zelis is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Operations team to help drive data-informed decisions across our healthcare financial technology solutions. This role is responsible for analyzing complex healthcare and payment data, developing scalable reporting solutions, and delivering actionable insights that improve operational performance and client outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for monitoring of ETL processes, alerts and reporting
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to validate data pipelines, troubleshoot data quality issues, and support ETL processes
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large healthcare datasets.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance analytical capabilities
• Respond to data inquiries and provide insights to support various business functions.
• Support ad hoc analyses and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Bring to Zelis:

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar analytical role
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or similar.
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data transformation processes
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Sigma or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Requires proficiency using AI tools skillfully with an understanding of how to develop/create intelligent prompts and/or agents.
• Experience in healthcare, payments or insurance domains a plus
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake a plus

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

Base Salary Range

$86,000.00 - $109,250.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
