The role.

As an Operations Data Analyst at Zilch, you will be a key member of our Operations Data domain, one of four core areas within our data mesh framework. This domain is focused on managing customer interactions and resolving issues efficiently to ensure users receive prompt and effective support. It also includes business risk management, such as fraud detection and credit decisioning, which are essential for maintaining customer trust and security.

Day to day responsibilities.

Perform root cause analysis to support the design effective process automations to improve efficiency.
Work with engineers and data scientists to deliver data products.
Develop and maintain database tables and dashboards (e.g., DBT,Looker) to deliver actionable insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design metrics and KPIs that measure the value of process improvements.
Enable informed decision-making by providing clear, data-driven insights.
Ensure the seamless flow of data pipelines, proactively monitoring and resolving data-related issues to maintain operational excellence.
Contribute to the extended data team to improve our technical skills and ways of working.
Work closely with IT, DevOps, CRM, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and optimise CRM processes.
Empower business users with self-service analytics through BI tools like Looker and Mixpanel.
Identify and manage technical debt to maintain a high-performing data ecosystem

We're looking for...

Strong knowledge of SQL and at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Redshift (or equivalent analytic database).
Experience working with Analytical Stack technologies including Fivetran, DBT, Looker, Python, and Airflow.
Experienced using collaborative version control systems (such as GIT & GitHub) to manage the codebase and streamline development processes.
Comfortable with general Data Warehousing concepts.
Experience building dashboards, preferably with Looker.
Proven track record of building robust and reliable data sets with a high level of control.
Experience applying various analytics techniques to extract actionable insights.
Understanding of advanced analytical methodologies, including statistical analysis and visualisation tools.
Highly motivated and energised by the opportunity to make a positive impact on our customers and Zilch
Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject
Experience and alternative qualifications considered in lieu of a STEM degree.
