JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Drive operational decisions with respect to software, through data analysis and management while working with operational teams around the globe. Support day-to-day software development through data analysis and research, including modifying pre-designed queries to assess data for research purposes. Coordinate with operational teams to use and make decisions based on data, and work with operational teams to define success metrics. Identify efficiency opportunities and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces with regard to software design. Propose experiments using insights, communicate complex ideas about our operations through visual aids like dashboards, and perform data modeling to establish high level goals for operational teams. Utilize technical tools, including programming languages, dashboarding tools, and SQL tools. Perform other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field required.
- 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 2 years of experience: in statistics, data visualization, data analysis, SQL coding, and coding in scripting languages including Python or R, to analyze data and create reports; analyzing and combining large data sets in cloud data warehouse services including Amazon Redshift or other Postgres DB and analytics platforms; working with User Experience Research and design; utilizing Excel formulas, graphing, pivot tables, linking and PowerPoint to clean and explore data and create insights to share with stakeholders; using visual reporting and dashboarding tools to share insights and recommendations gathered from data; using digital product optimization and A/B testing including web-analytics tools and techniques to design and analyze tests; and in data analysis and insight generation with business impact, to initiate and drive projects to completion.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in San Diego, CA but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
SALARY RANGE FOR REQ# R119643:
- $107,390.00 to $124,800.00/year + standard company benefits
