Position Summary: Data Analyst, Enterprise Solutions
Our team is seeking a Data Analyst to assist in designing and developing data visualization artifacts, reports, and dashboards for internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will help create visual content such as maps, charts, and graphs that can express complex scenarios and data to management stakeholders and a wide variety of other audiences. Candidate must be a self-starter, and a result driven individual with a passion for data analytics and data-driven decision making. This role will also require interaction with clients, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively is critical.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead data analysis efforts based on the requirements of the associated project and/or program.
- Data mine and perform complex data analysis based on the needs of the project and program.
- Identify and document data gaps required to meet the defined analytical needs.
- Publish periodic reports to highlight key production indicators as defined by the client and project manager.
- Transform datasets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into captivating visuals
- Working both independently and with existing staff and team members to produce deliverables, sometimes under strict deadlines
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3 + years’ experience in developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
- Experience in data manipulation using T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other software.
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills and experience in translating data into informative reports and visuals.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and industry best practices in information/data management techniques and platforms.
- Must have experience in presenting data findings to a variety of audiences
- Experience in using Python or other relevant programming languages
- Experience with GIS technology preferred
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with PowerQuery and/or DAX is a plus.
- Tableau experience is a plus
- Experience with CIVIX (MB3) and/or FEMA Grants Portal is a plus
Work Location: Albany, NY
Travel Requirement: Travel required up to 25%
