Job Description

Please note that this role is open to candidates based in Melbourne or Adelaide.

At Viva Energy, we're investing in the future of our Retail business and are looking for an experienced D365 SCM Functional Consultant to play a key role in shaping and enhancing our Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a consultant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, solving complex business challenges, and delivering practical, scalable solutions that make a real impact. You will work closely with business leaders and technology teams to optimise processes, drive continuous improvement, and maximise the value of our D365 platform.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Gather Business Requirements

  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders
  • Analise business processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist with documenting business requirements

System Configuration and Design Solutions

  • Configure D365 modules to meet business requirements
  • Recommend best practices and standard D365 functionality
  • Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDD’s)

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimise business processes
  • Recommend new D365 features and enhancements
  • Support system upgrades and release management
  • Perform unit testing and support business users with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM Functional Consultant.
  • Strong experience configuring D365 applications, particularly within:
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Warehouse Management
  • Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience preparing Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and supporting end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Experience supporting testing activities, including Unit Testing and UAT. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Degree qualification in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant certification.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Experience working within Retail, Convenience, Supply Chain, or Logistics environments
