Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Functional Consultant to lead end-to-end ERP implementations across multiple business functions, including Finance, Project Operations, Human Resources, Payroll, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Manufacturing, Transportation Management, Commerce, Sales, Service Management, Product Information Management (PIM), and Sustainability/ESG.

The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, configure D365 F&O modules, support integrations, lead UAT, and ensure successful implementation of scalable business solutions across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and conduct fit-gap analysis for D365 F&O implementations.

• Configure and implement one or more D365 F&O functional modules based on business requirements.

• Configure Project Management & Accounting, including project contracts, WBS, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and project invoicing.

• Configure Human Resources & Payroll, including organizational structures, compensation, leave & attendance, India payroll compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Gratuity), and statutory reporting.

• Configure Warehouse Management, including locations, zones, location directives, wave/work templates, mobile device workflows, and cycle counting.

• Configure Manufacturing, including BOM, routes, production orders, master planning, and shop floor execution.

• Configure Transportation Management, including load planning, freight setup, carrier integration, shipment tracking, and logistics processes.

• Configure Commerce/Retail, including POS setup, channels, assortments, pricing, promotions, and omnichannel order management.

• Configure Sales & Marketing, Service Management/Field Service, and Product Information Management (PIM) to support customer lifecycle and product governance.

• Configure and support Sustainability/ESG reporting, compliance dashboards, and emissions tracking.

• Ensure seamless integration across Finance, HR, Payroll, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Service, and other business functions.

• Prepare functional design documents (BRD/FDD), process flows, and solution documentation.

• Support integrations with third-party applications including payroll systems, 3PL, RF scanners, label printers, and benefits platforms.

• Lead conference room pilots (CRP), UAT, user training, data validation, and production deployment.

• Collaborate closely with technical consultants for customization, integrations, reporting, and data migration activities.

Must-Have Skills

• 4-9 years of experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Hands-on implementation experience in multiple D365 F&O functional modules, such as:

  • Finance & Project Management

  • Human Resources & Payroll

  • Warehouse Management (WHS)

  • Manufacturing

  • Transportation Management (TMS)

  • Commerce/Retail

  • Sales & Marketing

  • Service Management/Field Service

  • Product Information Management (PIM)

  • Sustainability/ESG

• Strong understanding of cross-functional business processes and module integrations.

• Experience conducting fit-gap analysis, business process mapping, configuration, testing, and user training.

• Strong stakeholder management and functional consulting skills.

Good to Have

• Microsoft certifications such as MB-300, MB-310, MB-330, or MB-340.

• Knowledge of India statutory payroll compliance.

• Exposure to Power BI reporting and dashboards.

• Basic understanding of X++ for functional collaboration with technical teams.

• Experience integrating D365 F&O with third-party solutions such as 3PL, payroll systems, RF devices, BarTender/ZPL, benefits platforms, and other enterprise applications.

• Experience working with clients in IT Services, Manufacturing, Retail, Distribution, Engineering, Professional Services, or Consulting.
