Cyrel® | Wilmington, Delaware (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly motivated Master Scheduler to join the Cyrel® Supply Chain team in Wilmington, Delaware. This role is a critical position within the Cyrel supply chain organization, responsible for translating demand into executable production and inventory plans while balancing customer service, inventory productivity, manufacturing efficiency, and working capital objectives.

The successful candidate will serve as a key connector between Commercial, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, and Business Leadership to ensure supply chain decisions support business performance and customer commitments.

This position follows a hybrid work model and requires a minimum of four days per week onsite in Wilmington, Delaware.

Job Summary

The Master Scheduler owns the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for the Cyrel® Parlin manufacturing site and is accountable for developing and maintaining production and inventory plans within short term horizon (0 to 3 months) that support customer demand, inventory productivity, manufacturing efficiency, and financial objectives.

This individual plays a central role in balancing competing priorities across the Cyrel® Americas business, including service performance, inventory investment, production capacity, raw material availability, operational constraints, and business growth initiatives.

The Master Scheduler provides leadership through influence and collaboration rather than direct authority, serving as a trusted partner to manufacturing and business leaders while driving data-based planning decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Master Production Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule for the Cyrel® Parlin manufacturing site.
  • Translate demand plans into actionable production schedules and inventory plans.
  • Establish planning strategies that align customer service, inventory, capacity, and cost objectives.
  • Ensure production schedules are feasible, executable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Drive schedule adherence and planning discipline across the supply chain.

Supply Planning & Capacity Management

  • Evaluate capacity, labor, equipment, campaign schedules, and material availability to support production requirements.
  • Identify supply constraints, bottlenecks, and risks before they impact customer service.
  • Develop and coordinate mitigation plans with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams.
  • Lead scenario analysis and recommend actions to address changing business conditions.
  • Support strategic decisions regarding capacity utilization and production optimization.

Inventory Optimization

  • Own inventory planning strategies that support both customer service and working capital objectives.
  • Lead efforts to improve inventory productivity while maintaining service performance.
  • Monitor inventory health and proactively address aging, excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Support differentiated inventory strategies across product families and market segments.
  • Partner with business leadership on inventory reduction initiatives and performance improvement plans.

Integrated Business Planning Support

  • Serve as the supply planning representative for the America region within the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
  • Support development of supply scenarios, risk assessments, and recovery plans.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding supply-demand balancing decisions.
  • Communicate supply risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.

Systems, Data & Analytics

  • Utilize SAP, OMP, and other planning tools to support supply planning and decision-making.
  • Drive planning master data accuracy and parameter governance.
  • Analyze key supply chain metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop reporting and insights that support operational and business decisions.
  • Ensure planning assumptions and constraints are appropriately reflected within planning systems.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve planning processes, inventory productivity, and operational effectiveness.
  • Champion best practices in master scheduling and supply planning.
  • Support planning system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Simplify and standardize planning processes where appropriate.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in supply planning, master scheduling, production planning, manufacturing planning, operations planning, or integrated business planning.
  • Experience utilizing ERP and planning systems such as SAP, OMP, APO, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to evaluate complex data and translate insights into action.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Proficiency with PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, and other data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS/ASCM CSCP certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent.
  • Experience within chemical, specialty materials, manufacturing, or process industries.
  • Experience supporting inventory optimization and working capital improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with advanced planning systems and scenario-based planning.
  • Experience leading planning process improvements or digital planning transformations.
