We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

You will work with a talented team from across the world, who work towards principles of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellbeing.
This role is responsible for the system administration of our internal security platforms, providing L1/L2 support to our employees, and also partnering with our security developers and engineering team to deploy new platforms and tools internally.

Meet our team
The Cybersecurity Platform Operations team is part of the PayPal Information & Cybersecurity org. We are the first port of call for our internal employees for IT support for our security platforms. Whether it is getting something set up, or fixing a problem, the CSPO team work to ensure are staff are enabled to meet their goals, by enabling them with secure technology.

Job Description:

Your way to impact

  • Independently apply security best practices to enhance and optimize systems, ensuring robust protection and efficiency, while beginning to understand and align security solutions with business objectives.
  • Partner with peers and internal teams to drive security initiatives, contribute to cross-functional projects, and at times co-lead efforts to strengthen security posture.
  • Analyze and resolve security challenges by adapting standard processes and exploring alternative approaches to address complex threats.
  • Influence the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the team through informed decision-making, with a potential impact on other teams.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to gather and incorporate feedback, driving continuous improvements in security processes.

    Preferred Qualification:

    Your day to day

    • Involved in the L1/L2 security administration & services and deployment support of cutting-edge security products (SaaS/CoTs or Inhouse) ensuring that they meet the needs of our internal customers.
    • Stay abreast of emerging security technologies, platforms, and best practices, integrating them into the operational landscape to improve security posture and operational efficiency.
    • Work in a collaborative, agile environment, liaising with colleagues and other teams globally to achieve common objectives and support the ongoing success of the organization.
    • Serve as an advocate for customer engagement, ensuring that internal users needs are understood and met. Focus on enhancing the user experience and ensuring a seamless integration of security solutions.
    • Act as a security advocate, promoting security best practices and ensuring that security is ingrained in all aspects of development and system operations.
    • Engage in both project-based work, focusing on the implementation of new systems and technologies, and operational responsibilities, ensuring the continuous smooth running of business-critical systems.

    What you need to bring

    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • Hands on experience in Identity and Access Management preferably SailPoint.
    • Knowledge in key and certificate management is a plus.
    • Experience in Systems administration and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system functionality and reliability. Demonstrate understanding of information security concepts, standards, and practices. This includes firewalls, intrusion prevention, and detection, TCP/IP, and related protocols, device monitoring, and log management
    • Basic coding experience in Python and Perl would be a plus
    • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow Incident Management, change management, and rational problem solving skill
