Leidos is seeking a customer driven personality to join our team as a Cybersecurity Specialist. This role will drive resolution of customer incidents and perform network expansion with firewall hardware/software. Working with a team of highly motivated technical individuals who work in a collegial, collaborative work environment. Your key role is Supporting the NASA customers implementing firewall rules and troubleshooting access to various applications across the agency network. In addition, you will be installing new firewall hardware, performing software upgrades and validating systems that are in compliance with strict NASA standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment.
- Creating and engineering support for a broad range of network services Firewall, LAN, WAN and DDI.
- Configuration, troubleshooting, sustainment of Fortinet and Cisco devices.
- Trouble ticket management and resolution of network problems.
- Implementation and replacement of network devices not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, wireless Lan controllers and access points.
- Responsible for overall network analyst.
- Using various network monitoring tools.
- Working independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
- Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
- May be responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.
- Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
- Communicates with internal and client project team members.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires Bacherlors degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must have the ability to obtain and keep a minimum of a Public Trust clearance.
- Experience supporting large enterprise networks focusing on Cybersecurity, Routing, Switching, DNS and DHCP
- Hands-on working experience with large enterprise Fortinet firewall applications.
- Cisco CCNA level certification or working knowledge and hands on experience with Cisco devices.
- Vital QIP and Splunk experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional level certification or working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, LAN, WAN and Fortianalyzer systems.
- Expertise in DHCP management for large enterprise environment.
- Network monitoring experience using tools such as Performance Manager, Spectrum, Splunk and Vital QIP.
