Job Duties and Responsibilities

Enterprise systems face constant cyber threats, unauthorized access attempts, and complex intrusion vectors requiring immediate detection and mitigation. The Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst II actively monitors, analyzes, and eradicates security events across enterprise infrastructure to safeguard organizational assets. This role bridges threat intelligence, event correlation, and rapid incident handling to minimize operational risk and patch exploited vulnerabilities. By applying security analytics and technical expertise, the role prevents enterprise disruptions and strengthens overall security posture.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
- Detect, identify, and triage security incidents and anomalous activities across enterprise infrastructure to maintain continuous situational awareness
- Correlate event data from SIEM, SOAR, and network monitoring tools to distinguish malicious threats from benign activity and minimize false positives
- Document, escalate, and isolate security incidents impacting systems while driving mitigation and vulnerability remediation efforts
- Leverage AI-assisted threat analytics and automated security tools to accelerate event correlation, threat identification, and response times
- Collaborate with enterprise-wide defense teams to validate alerts, refine monitoring workflows, and harden controls
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a technical resource on incident response protocols and threat handling
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What You'll Bring)
- Expertise in the incident response lifecycle, digital forensics analysis, and cyber threat intelligence methodologies
- Proficiency in enterprise cyber defense technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, EDR, and IDS/IPS systems
- AI Application skills in utilizing machine learning models and automated analytics tools for anomaly detection and pattern recognition
- Ability to analyze complex intrusion tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) across cloud and on-premises environments
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey complex security findings and impact assessments to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Critical experience prioritizing and managing multiple high-severity security incidents within operational timelines
Additional Qualifications
Successful candidates will typically have:
- Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty
- Experience operating within global Computer Incident Response Teams (CIRT) or Security Operations Centers (SOC)
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum Experience: 0-3 years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or incident response environments.
- Required Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS).
- Practical understanding of cyber threat intelligence and digital forensics.
- Familiarity with cloud security controls and incident response workflows.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
